A new draft guideline was unveiled on Wednesday to expand tests for autonomous1 driving vehicles in China, which analysts2 said will accelerate the healthy development of the industry and commercialization of related products and technologies.
11月2日，工信部會同公安部組織起草《關于開展智能網聯汽車準入和上路通行試點工作的通知（征求意見稿）》。分析人士表示，這將加速產業的健康發展以及相關產品和技術的商業化。
The guideline, jointly3 unveiled by the Ministry4 of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Public Security, means that road tests for autonomous driving vehicles will be gradually carried out nationwide. Before the guideline, such work was usually promoted by local governments such as in Beijing and Shenzhen, Guangdong province, the experts added.
《通知》的頒布意味著自動駕駛汽車的道路測試將逐步在全國范圍內開展。專家補充說，此前，這項工作已在北京市和廣東省深圳市等地由地方政府逐步推進實施。
The move is also the latest signal that policies for internet-connected vehicles are becoming increasingly transparent5 and open in China, as the country aims to establish a beachhead in the strategically important sector6.
此舉也表明中國對智能網聯汽車的政策正變得越來越透明和開放，中國正試圖在這一具有重要戰略意義的領域搶占領先地位。
The guideline, which is soliciting7 public feedback until Dec 1, said the two ministries8 will select eligible9 vehicle manufacturers and internet-connected vehicles equipped with autonomous driving functionality that meet the conditions for mass production to carry out tests on selected public roads in pilot cities.
根據《通知》提出的試點內容，工業和信息化部、公安部將遴選符合條件的道路機動車輛生產企業和具備量產條件的搭載自動駕駛功能的智能網聯汽車產品，開展準入試點。意見反饋截止日期為12月1日。
The autonomous driving function mentioned in the guideline refers to level 3 and level 4, which designate conditional10 autonomous driving and highly autonomous driving, respectively.
《通知》中智能網聯汽車搭載的自動駕駛功能，包括3級駕駛自動化（有條件自動駕駛）和4級駕駛自動化（高度自動駕駛）功能。
